At CORE, we take a thoroughly modern approach to your health and wellness. In fact, we are at the forefront of the movement to make healthcare more integrated and more accessible. Our focus is on the whole person rather than a collection of symptoms, and we are committed to meeting your individual needs and treatment goals.
Interventional pain management is a highly personalized, hands-on approach to relieving both acute and chronic pain. We mix holistic therapies with cutting-edge treatments to reduce or eliminate your pain and get you back to your favorite activities. Conditions for which interventional pain management works well include, but are not limited to:
- Failed Back Syndrome
- Chronic Pain Syndrome
- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
- Diabetic Neuropathy
- Phantom Limb Pain
- Back, Neck, or Shoulder Pain
- Knee or Hip Pain
We know that pain can be debilitating, and we understand that conventional treatments typically do not last long. At CORE, we are dedicated to helping our patients discover their own pathways to better health. The interventional pain management solutions we provide include, but are not limited to:
Facet Medial Branch Blocks / Radiofrequency Ablations
A facet medial branch block is a quick diagnostic procedure designed to locate the source of spinal pain. It can also provide pain relief. If this nerve block reduces or eliminates your pain, you may be a candidate for a radiofrequency ablation. This procedure burns off the painful nerve, providing relief that can last for more than a year.
Epidural Steroid Injections
Epidural steroid injections can alleviate inflammatory pain in the back, neck, shoulders, or arms. They can heal nerve compression from spinal stenosis, herniated discs, sciatica, and other related conditions. Steroids are anti-inflammatory medications that the irritated nerves absorb, reducing pressure and swelling along with the affiliated pain.
Trigger Point Injections
Deep muscle knots can be difficult or impossible to unlock with massage and other external techniques. Trigger point injections deflate the tight muscle, removing the knots and providing quick pain relief.
Spinal Cord Stimulation
Spinal cord stimulation is an FDA approved treatment for chronic pain of the trunk and limbs. It delivers a continuou, low-voltage, electric current to the spinal cord, which blocks the sensations of pain. Spnial cord stimulation is often effective even when other pain management techniques have failed.
