Dr. Richard Kang, obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean. He holds a Double Board Certification in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology and completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious New York Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University – College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he also held appointments as Graduate Clinical Educator. Dr. Kang trained in Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the distinguished Robert D. Dripps, MD Memorial Award, for outstanding graduate resident in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Kang comes highly recommended by his peers, associates, and patients for his technical skills in interventional procedures as well as his outstanding work ethic, clinical judgment, and empathic nature toward his patients. Dr. Kang’s areas of clinical expertise include Non-Surgical Orthopedics, Spine and Sports Medicine, treatment of neck and back pain of musculoskeletal and spinal origin, and providing Regenerative Medicine Therapeutics. He focuses on a variety of interventional procedures such as minimally invasive spine procedures, epidural steroid injections, facet nerve blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency lesioning, peripheral nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulation along with a full complement of musculoskeletal regenerative medicine procedures with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell Therapy with Bone Marrow Concentrate.
In order to keep up-to-date with the latest treatment modalities in pain management, Dr. Kang maintains an active membership in the American Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Spine Intervention Society, Interventional Orthopedic Foundation, and A4M – American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine along with attending continuing education courses in the fields of Regenerative, Orthopedic, Spine, Sports, Functional, Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine.
